IDEC 2006:KOOKABURRA AUNTS and UNCLES
In the kookaburra species, the whole flock helps in the rearing of the
young, there are many aunts and uncles who share this responsibility
and the creating of IDEC2006 was very much like this. Thank you to all
of you for the roles and parts you played. I hope that those of you who
felt you could not be part of it in the final months are able to share
in our relief and enjoyment that it happened and was a gathering noted
as Wendy described for "openness
and generosity of spirit amongst participants, an open-heartedness in
discussions and a deep respect for others' views which gave it a
particular sense of community."
